THE GLENDORA WOMAN'S CLUB TO PRESENT GUEST SPEAKER ROBERT BROSKI

GLENDORA---The Glendora Woman's Club will present speaker Robert Broski at the club's luncheon-meeting on Tuesday 6. His program titled "A Look at President Abraham Lincoln" is part of Broski's personal commitment to bring Lincoln's life and achievements to more audience. He has presented his special program at schools, churches, clubs, and presidential libraries, to name a few.


Special events have included Civil War reenactments. Broski has also portrayed President Lincoln in films, television, plays, and commercials said program vice president Helen Storland.


The Woman's Club meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a social time, followed by the business meeting at 11 a.m.  The catered luncheon by Ritz Catering around noontime will be followed by the program by guest speaker Robert Broski.


The Members' Participation Art Display, held every month, featured a different display theme each meeting. The theme this month will be Red, White and Blue said committee member Loretta Salazar.


One of the club's ongoing service projects is Shepherd's Pantry, located in Glendora. The Pantry services families in need in 10 area cities and members are asked to donate nonperishable food items at club meetings for the families in need, said project chair Gloria Liddle.


Coming up on Tuesday, March 20, will be the Club's Annual Fashion Show, with the theme this year of "Journey To Hawaii." Fashions will be from Dressbarn and Undercovers Intimate Apparel, with the luncheon by Ritz Catering, said even co-chairs Joy Martau and Carolyn Cunningham. Fashion Show sponsorships, available at four levels to choose from, the revenue will  help the club continue its philanthropic donations and service projects.
