Our History
In 1908, when Glendora was only 21 years old, a group of courageous women recognized the need for a women’s club. On April 28, 1908, a meeting was called to order at the Opera House above the First National Bank. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the formation of a women’s club, which thirty women attended. The participants agreed on two primary objectives to construction of a clubhouse and the establishment of a free library.

By the following year, the club had grown to 75 charter members. In 1909, the Glendora Woman’s Club was incorporated to help secure funding for the construction of their clubhouse.

For over 100 years, the Glendora Woman’s Club has remained committed to advancing the civic, philanthropic, and educational needs of the community.
